University of Phoenix to offer free Career Workshops to the public

WHAT:          Serving as a bright light in a dark economy, University of Phoenix is hosting a series of free career workshops to help revamp Arizona’s staggering unemployment rates. 

University of Phoenix – Phoenix Campus is hosting a series of free workshops hosted by a professional presenter to help job seekers navigate into new territory when managing changes in their careers.

These workshops will emphasize the importance of finely tuned resumes, noteworthy first impressions during in-person and phone interviews and utilizing the internet and social media outlets to help the jobless stand out in an increasingly competitive marketplace.

Garlieb is president of Successful Impressions, a local company that helps people with their career searches. Her expertise includes writing compelling cover letters, helping people differentiate themselves from other job seekers, preparing questions for employers, mastering successful in-person and phone interviews and using the Internet for job hunting.

INTERVIEW:  David Fitzgerald, Phoenix campus director of University of Phoenix, is available to discuss why the University is dedicated to supporting the local community as it endures uncertain economic times.
